It’s a breathtaking view of the Golden Gate Bridge but no thanks! We’ll leave the fun and excitement of wingwalking world records to our good friend and client Robert Ragozzino and his daring young damsel on the wing, Ashley Battles.
High above the Golden Gate Bridge are wing walker Ashley Battles and ace pilot Robert Ragozzino
I can think of a lot of things to do for fun but this isn’t one of them.
This daring duo is trying for a wing walking Guinness world record this weekend over San Franciso Bay.
We helped Robert, who is from Oklahoma City, back in 2000 when he rebuilt his Stearman 450 and set his first world record by circumnavigating the globe in an open cockpit biplane. That’s right, no one had ever done it before.
All our efforts on his behalf have been directed at promotional and fundraising videos like the one above, but you can’t help feeling the excitement just being around this guy.
Even in the midst of wing walking records, Robert is busy building a replica of the Spirit of St. Louis. He plans to fly it from New York to Paris in 2012 to repeat the famous flight by Charles Lindbergh in May of 1927. He’s looking for sponsors for this venture as well so I’m sure we’ll be making more videos very soon.
All our best to Robert Ragozzino, a modern day adventurer extraordinaire! Come Fly With Me (on the wing)
